Organic lawn care

a variety of sources including sea kelp, minerals, composts,
blood meal, fish emulsions, alfalfa, bone and cottonseed
meal, as well as guano and other organic waste sources.
It is
important to understand that these organic sources of
nitrogen can burn or stunt you lawn if used improperly. The
C : N ratio must be 20 : 1 or less and this allows the soil
microbes to “mineralize” which creates Ammonium NH4 + (1) in
the soil which the plant can absorb. Again, it is very
important to understand the relationship of the products,
soil types and ratios other wise these products create a
situation called “immobilization” that can harm your turf.
